Akrotiri

A Prehistoric Settlement also known as the "Minoan Pompeii." The city of Akrotiri was destroyed and buried under 30 meters of ash following a massive volcanic eruption in 1450 BC. The settlement featured sophisticated multi-story buildings and magnificent frescoes, showcasing how advanced the Minoans were at that time.

A jewel of archaeology, perfect for history lovers, and a must-visit stop for anyone coming to Santorini.
